Euro 2020 Friendlies: The friendlies for the upcoming Euro 2020 competition continue in earnest this weekend. There are 9 matches on Friday night, 5 on Saturday night and 8 more on Sunday night. The big one on Friday is in Madrid where Spain meet neighbours Portugal in what features two of the fancied sides for Euro 2020 itself. On Saturday Russia and Bulgaria are probably the highlight, while on Sunday there will be plenty of interest in England vs Romania and Belgium vs Croatia.

Formula One: The next round of this season’s F1 season continues with the Azerbaijan Grand Prix at the Baku City circuit. It’s another chance for Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen to continue their rivalry that’s so far lit up the year. It’s another street circuit and Verstappen is seen as the favourite for the race. Mercedes may have the strongest engine, but Verstappen with his RB16B has a strong package to win in the streets of Baku.
Racing: There’s a huge day of racing taking place at Scottsville in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday with four Grade One events forming part of the card. The Grade Ones start with the 1200m Allan Robertson Championship, followed by the 1200m Gold Medallion, the 1200m SA Fillies Sprint and the 1200m Golden Horse Sprint.
Rugby: The Super Rugby competition in NZ and Australia continues this weekend. On Friday the Crusaders host the Force, followed by the Reds against the Blues. Then on Saturday it’s the Highlanders up against the Waratahs and the last game of the round features the Brumbies hosting the Hurricanes.
Rugby: The action resumes in Gauteng this weekend after a bye week, with the Stormers and the Lions having sprung upsets in the previous round. The Stormers beat the Sharks to go second while the Lions downed the Bulls. This round the Bulls host the Stormers on Friday night in Pretoria and the Lions take on the Sharks on sSaturday afternoon in Johannesburg.
