Percy Tau to get a taste of City life

January 12, 2021

There’s a real sense of “calling all pockets” to English Premier League fixtures at the moment, with Covid-19 again playing havoc with schedules and squads. This week, for instance, the Tottenham versus Fulham game has been re-arranged and will be played tomorrow night, which means that Fulham versus Chelsea, scheduled for Friday, has been pushed back to Saturday.

Still, it’s a massive four days for Fulham who face both Spurs and Chelsea in that space of time. They have been given virtually no chance of getting anything at all from their game against Tottenham, with the bookies offering nearly 9-1 for the draw and 14-1 for a Fulham win.

Percy Tau is likely to get his first taste of EPL football for Brighton, but it could well be a chastening experience as the opponents are Manchester City!

This next midweek round features six games, three tonight, two tomorrow night and one on Thursday. Then there’s the weekend round, so make sure you get your picks in!

Here’s our rundown of what to expect.

Sheffield United 1 Newcastle 2: At some stage Sheffield United will pick up more points but until then it’s impossible to gamble with them. They’ve got 2 points from 17 games and are going down. Perhaps they’ll “upset” here and get a draw against what I believe to be the most inconsistent team in the league, but more likely Newcastle will edge a scrappy game.

GGGaming exact score: 11.00-1

Wolves 1 Everton 1: Possibly the toughest game of this “round”. Everton won 4 in a row – like they did at the beginning of the season – and then lost to West Ham. After their first 4 wins at the start of the season they then went winless in their next 4. Maybe history will repeat. Wolves have only won twice in their last 8 and are playing without the confidence we saw last season.

Burnley 0 Man United 2: The visitors will go top if they manage to earn at least a point, which they should do at Turf Moor. It would be a remarkable turnaround for Ole, who often comes under fire at the first sight of a wobble. United have 26 points from their last 30 in the league and are the division’s form side.

GGGaming exact score: 6.00-1

Man City 3 Brighton 0: Welcome to the EPL Percy Tau. South Africa’s finest expert is likely to get a run out for Brighton but the bad news it’s at the Etihad and City are just starting to hit form. They’ve won their last 3 and made Chelsea look ordinary in their last game. I can’t see anything but a home win here.

GGGaming exact score: 6.00-1

Tottenham 2 Fulham 0: Spurs might be fourth but they weren’t convincing over the festive season. In December their League form went WDLLDW but they’re up against fellow Londoners who went LDDDD over the same period. Fulham haven’t played a League game since Boxing Day and might be rusty here.

GGGaming exact score: 6.00-1

Arsenal 2 Crystal Palace 1: The Gunners have climbed above Palace in the table on the back of three straight league wins. But this is by no means a “gimme” and those who look at stats will notice that Arsenal are going for 4 straight League wins. That doesn’t happen too often in this division. Most will go for an Arsenal win, but don’t feel like you’ve just landed from mars if you go for the draw.

GGGaming exact score: 7.00-1
