The Masters 2020

November 18, 2020

The Masters was won by a master tradesman, Dustin Johnson, and with the game he has, we will be seeing him break more and more records. What a joy he was to watch as he seems to get longer and straighter every week and thoroughly deserves the number 1 player in the world title which he has.

Rory McIlroy, after posting a 75 in round 1, came back to a credible 11 under par to finish in a tie for 5th. Cameron Smith and Sung-Jae Im tied for 2nd on 15 under with Justin Thomas on 12 under alone in 4th position. The leaderboard also had Brookes Koepka and John Rahm in the top 10. We were royally entertained all 4 days.

This week golf returns to South Africa with the Joburg Open. The field will have many South African contestors hoping to start or re-start their careers with Christiaan Bezuidenhout favourite at 14 to 1.

The RSM classic in America begins tomorrow with Webb Simpson as the favourite but I think Sung-Jae Im may win this at 18 to 1.
