When the Mumbai Indians lost Sharma, de Kock, Yadav and Pollard, I thought it was all over. Then Kishan, who was at first battling to find his timing, suddenly he got it together, and the result was a fantastic 55 not out from 30 balls. Hardik Pandya was a big help with his 37 runs from 14 balls. Mumbai Indians got 200/5 which was a bridge too far for Dehli.
Boult’s 2 wickets for 9 runs from 2 overs was the beginning of the end for Delhi. The man of the match Bumrah, 4 wickets for 14 runs in his 4 overs, was a match winning performance.
Today’s match between RCB and Sunrisers should be a close encounter as they have been both performing so well this season. RCB may find the Sunrisers difficult to stop as they have been on great form lately.
Let us not forget how spoiled we have been over the last 2 months, all minus the fans. We have been treated to the new youngsters coming of age and we have seen the awesome thrill of the super over and the hundreds of sixes off the bats of Pooran ,Gayle, DeVelliers, Russel and Pollard to mention only a few. This IPL has delivered so many great moments and I am looking forward to many more.
